MORE VIOLENCE IN MALAYA

Received Tuesday, 10.10 a.m. SINGAPORE, June 14. Violence and intimidation continue throughout Maiaya. Sixty European planters living on ten estates in the Rengam district met tonight to arrange mutual protection and assistance to the police. The Straits Times says that unofhcial reports have suggested that the Communist regipae in the Rengam district is at present eliminating the Kuomintang leaders, three of whom were murdered on the night of June 12, and intend to murder later the European estate managers. Twelve Chinese Communist gangsters, armed with tommy guns, sten guhs and revolvers, last night cHticaily w.ounded the Kuomiptang Chinese foreman of rubber estate near Malacca. Malays, armed with knives, slashed to death four Chinese at Lengang.
