— ■ • — Mr. and Miss A. Lord, of Otaki, are at present visiting friends in Hastings. The death occurred in Welling-; ton on Tuesday of Mr. Frew, who was well-known locally, and who was the father of Mrs. Garnham, Rangiuru. His many friends will regret to learn that the knee injury suffered by Master Donald Grant on Saturday, June 5, has not made the improvement anticipated, and he has been admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital for treatment. The funeral of the late Mrs. Roy Booth took place at Otaki on'Wednesday. Canon H. E. K. Fry delivered an impressive graveside service, while the pallbearers were visiting relatives. Among the very many beautiful floral tributes were wreaths from the Otaki Railway Bowiing Club and the stafE of Otaki Textiles.
