Beceived Sundav, 9.20 p.m. BPMSBANE, June 13. Australia played better football in every department to beat New Zealand 13 — 4 in the second Rugby League test at Brisbane before a crowd of 23,013. The virilitv of tlie young Australian forwards was the deciding factor in the matcli and their play completely justiliod the omission from the team of some of the recognised veterans. Almost throughout the flrst half the Kiwis were harassing the defence and eramped Australia 's attack, but Australia eventuaJly broke tlirough and Tyquin and Pegg scored tries during the last five minutes before halftime. The Australian fullback, Churchill, who played excellently after a nervous beginniug, started a move which brought the first trv. Tyquin scored the try after H oi land .had joined in the movemeiit and made a clear run to Tyquin from the Kiwis' 25. The Australian winger McMalion dived five yards to score the onJv try in the second" half. - • - Clarke kiclced his second goal for the Kiwis from the only penaltv awarded his team in Australia 's territory during the second half.
