Safe Containing £451 Taken From Garage

WELLINGTON, June 14. A safe weighing 3 owt. and containing over £451 in money ahd cheques was removed from the premises of Burke Brothers' Garage, Kilbirnie, which was broken into during the weekend. The office was broken into some time between 6.30 p.m, on Saturday and 2.20 a.m. on Sunday, entry being gained through breaking an office door, The lights were burnffig all the time in an attached shop, although none sRone in the office. The safe, which was valued at £75, contained £175 7s in notes and silver and £27.5 15s 7d in cheques. Aj total of 880 gallon® worth of cur--rent petrol coupons were taken with the safe.
