Tribunal Issues New Scale . Of Charges .

A price order fixing the maximum prices for the sale on licensed premises of beer and spirits has been issued by the Price Tribunal. -rvThe ; maximum prices for beer are 7d for twelve ounces and 6d for less , than twelve'' ounces, the latter being a reduction of one penny. " ' The Tribunal explained in a statement today that the provision will not eome into f'orce immediately to allow licensees to increase their supplies or ten-ounce measures. The price for the standard meas: ure of spirits (whisky, rum, brantty, or gin) is lOd except when sold .in a 1 lonnge or dining room when the maximum price is ls, except in the case of French ^brandy (maximum price 2s). - The order will come into force on June 14 next.
