German Machine Tools Arrive

WELLINGTON, June 9. Two shipnients of German machinery b rough t to New Zealand as war reparations are being unloaded from the Rimutaka and the Rakaia at Wellington. A tliird shipuient is expected in the Port Alma later this month. Four seven-ton crates of machinery were taken today to tlie stores of the War Assets Realisation Board at Gracefield by a Public Works Department 's transporter. A large eonsignment of smaller machinery has alreadv been taken into store. Oue of the large warehouses at Gracefield is alreadv half filled with machinery which ininc.ludes machine tools, lathes and special maehines. The equipnient is being inspected first by Government departments which are taking maehines they require. The reipainder will be put up for tender by the War Assets Realisation Board.
