Received Thursday^, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, June 9. Both Arabs and Jews have accepted the proposals for a one month's truce in Palestine. The United Nations mediator, Count Bernadotte, who is now in possession of both sides' replies, will tell each party what the other said by 6 p.m. (Palestine time) in time to co-ordinate cease fire orders along all fronts by 6 a.m. Palestine time on June' 11 — the deadline set in the mediator's terms. The Foreign Minister of Israel, Mr. Moshe Shertok, in unconditionally accepting the truce, made certain suggestions regarding immigration of military age Jews and the question of free access to Jerusalem. The British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Ernest Bevin, announced today that Britain had suspended the delivery of arms to Transjordan until the end of the cease fire in Palestine. Fighting continued in many parts of Palestine today, but no major clashes were reported.
