V ;. The Shannon Miiiiature Rifle ;Club commenced its activities for ethe 1948 season last Wednes'day ['evening, -when the first- shoot was f.held in the Druids' Hall. There was ■a good -a'Dtendance of members and jit was plea-sing to the committee to rsee.- that the ladies are again takJ ing; an interest in the sport.fAithough it was the first shoot of :the season, some good targbts were .returned. The. club is very confldent . that after a few praptice shoots the stahdard' of shooting will be very high. The foliowing are the scores recorded out of a possible of 100 : A. Birss 93, G. Rix 92, J.
