' There.was a capaeity yarding of fat sheep at the weekly stOCk saje in Levin .yesterday, when extra prime quality wethers reaehed the season's peak Qf 52$ iQd. Fat ewes were in ov-er supply and dppreciat" ed from ls to 2s per head on last week. • Another largq entry of lambs came forward, but the "quality was below that of last week's •qffering and values eased in con- ; sequence. Good qqality lambs, however, were keenly * sought. Frices remained on a par wffh late 1 rates. Well' finished heavy porkers made up to £6. The entry of store' pigs was much heavier than usual, but competition wa's keen through'-! qut. One line on account of the Bryant Estate, Shannon, being sold as a result; of the flood were sold ; under the hammer at prices rang-| ing from 35s to £2 7s. The dairy stock eptry was very| small and competition was slow, a1 iarge number being passed in." Several pens of good quality veai- 1 qrs were offered, bringing up to £7, 17s 6d. A pen of light oxen real- , i$ed from £15 12$ 6d tq £18 7s ed.1 There w.as a brisk demand for the smaller entry of fat ex-dairy cattle. and these sold up' to £11 12s 6d.
