TIMARU, June 7. D. L. Woon (Canterbury) won the South Island golf thampionship iu a convineing nianner at the Highfield course today, winning his semi-linal game against G. A. Ussher (Timaru) 3 and 2, and beating in the' final P. Durniug (Timaru) by a similar margin. In the final of the South Island Plate, A. Gibbs (Ctago) beat H. JGosset (Canterbury) 7 and 5 and continued on to equal the unofficial course record of 65 held by G. A. Ussher.
