WELLINGTON, June 4. "The appeai of E. L. Healy, of Wanganui, againat Ihe decision of the Wanganui District Committee in disquali±ying_ him for six months as from May 4, 1948, was heard by a conference of appeai judges today. After hearing the evidence the judges dismissed the appeai aud confirmed the decision or the Wanganui District Coinmittee. The appeai deposit was ordered to be forfeited. The appeai judges were Messrs. J. Macfarlane Laing, C.* M. Mitchen and J. Jameson. Healy was disqualified by the Distriet Committee fot atleged corrupt practice under Rule 838 (1) (E) of the Rules of Eacing which deals with layibg or accepting a wager to be determined by the amount of the dividend paid by the totalisator.
