Annual Meeting Of Church Of Christ

There was a good atcenaance' of memiDers at the annual meeting of the. Seddon Street Church of Christ, Levin, recently,' Mr. A. M. Scott presiding. • The report and balance' sheet presented by Mr. W. Austin • showed generous giving by the members. It had been possible this year not only t-o keep the local work going, but donations to home and-foreign missions, youth work and the Bl'pie College, Dunedin, had also been made. Thanks were extended ro Mr. H. Gfinstead, the visiting speakers, Mr. Fowler, Mrs. Fenn and Mr, and Mrs. Sniriey. for special assistance. The report • of the Christian Women's Auxiliary, the president of which is Mrs. M. R-oe, was presented by Mrs. Fenn. The meetings had not been large, but they had been abie to help those in need quite a little, and the food for Britain campaign also. The young people's work had been upset this year, but during the closing of the Sunday School and the opening again, lessons of a very high standard had been sent out from the director of religious education, Mr. A. E. White, M.A., and they had been appreciated. The school was badly in need of teachers, as with a larger staff a very much larger school couid be secured. ^ The following are the oversight for the year: — Mesdameg G. Shirley and H. A.
