The Ilutt "Valley anu Bays Metropolitan Milk Board is to take no iinancial interest in tlio company to be set up to control tlie proposed Hutt Valley milk treatment plant. .This was decided today after the boprd had discussed a proposal put before it a month ago thut it should replace the Government as an equal partner in the company with tlie Wellington Dairy Farnier.s' Cooperative As.-ociation, Ltd. The total capital of the proposed company is £100,000. Tlie ehainnau of tlie board, Mr. E. W. Wiso, said representatiVes of the dairy fariuers had given hini the impression they would be more than pleased to have Ihe board combining with them in the company. Tliey were not happy, however, about tlie suggestion'that tlie finance should be pvovided by the State Advances Corporation and considered the board should fmd tlie nioney, giving the people rather than the state the Iinancial interest in tlie sehenie. Uriticisui of the proposal that the board should join tlie company, was led by Mr. J. B. Yaldwyn who said the board should have no other concern but the interests of consumers and the enforcing of its requireineiits on their behalf. Mr. Yaldwyn was supported by Messrs. E. F.
