Some Mail Services To Be Expedited
WELLINGTON, June 2. All letters for towns on the main routes from Wellington to New Plymouth and Wellington to Napipr, via thg Wairarapa, posted at the Chief Po.st, Office, Wellington, up to eight o'clock each evening from Mondays to Fbdays, wffi in future he dispatehed by overnight newspaper car services, and be delivered by ppstmen the foliowing morning. Announcing this, the PostmasterGeneral, Mr. Hackett, said tftese new services were additionffi to the existing services. Mffils 'for Gisborne would be despatched by tlie service to Napier &nd wo.uld copnect with the eaiiy morning rffil car to arrive in Gisborne about lUid-day. In many cases, said the Minjster, there will be savings pf up to 24 hours in the delivery time.
