Pcrsonal A Mr. and Mrs. E. "A. Collins and family, of Ballance Street, left yesterday afternoori on a holiday visit to , the South Island. Mr. Pratt, who has been farming at Okuku Road for a number of years, left with his family yesterday to take over a farm at Levin., Dr. N. Young, who has been assisting Dr. Collier for thd past few weeks, returned to Wellington y.esterday morning'. Mr. J. Alexander, manager of the Shannon dairy factory, is at present spending his annual holiday in the Hawke's Bay and Waikato districts. 1 Mrs. W. Picard, Mr. F. Picard and Mrs.. C. G. Wishart were . Shannon visitors to Auckland for the Picard-Hawke wedding, which took place at* Avondale last Saturday afternoon. Business Changes Hands The newsagency and stationery business which has been operated by Mr. A. S. Hyde for the past 12 years has been sold to Mr. Jajnes McKay, of Levin. Mr. McKay took over the business today. , Card Winners The usual weekly card' evenirig was conducted by 'the local branch of the Labour Party in Laurvig's Hall on Friday evening. There was a good attendance and the prizewinnefs were Mrs. G. Simpson, of Opiki, and- Mrs. E. Thorne. ■
