Bishops Disagreement Over Headmaster's Remarriage
Received Fridav, 7 p.m. LONDON, Afay 2u.' The Bishop of St. Albans, Dr. P II. Lovd, and his Assistant. Bishop, Dr. D. O. F. Hevwood, both resigned from the Board of Governors of the Hailey-^ bury and Imperial - Service Gollege as a protd^t against the remarriage or he headmaster of Hafieybury Junxor High School, Mr. E. A. S. M. Beckwith. Mr. Beckwith divorced his first Vvife last year and his second wife is herself a divorcee. Dr. Loyd, who has several times spoken uncompromisingly against the remarriage of divorced persons, said he did not eonsider a divorced master who had married a divorced woman, should hold a responsible position in the school.
