Japs Planned To Conceal War Crimes
Received Monday, 8.20 p.m. TOKIO, May 17. Australian war crimes investigators revealed today tliat tkey had uncovered "extensive ' evidence proving a planned poliey by major Japanese Army and Navy Gommands, to conceal war crimes from tke Allied investigators. ' ' A statement covering investigations carried out over 30 months, was releaked by General MacAxthur's Headquarters. Lieut.-Colonei D. B. Goslett, of fciydney, said the conspiracy stretched from the South Pacific to Japan's home islands. The Japanese had taken steps as soon as the war ended, to destroy all Allied war prisoners' reeords. Tn ::n .
