BIBLE TRUTH "Bible Teaching Concerning Hell" The original words, "sheol" in the Hebrew Old Testament, and "hades" in the Greek New Testament, mean "covered place," or "receptacle of the dead." In parts of Englan'd today potatoes are "helled," roofs are "helled" or covered, not put in "fire torment." Exactly the same original words occur 78 times in both O.T. and N.T. The Translators of the Authorised Version Bible, were 1 theologians who believed in "hell 1 fire torment"; yet they translated these words "hell" 41 times, an'd "grave" 32 times; proving the originals do not teach "hell fire torment"; but mean the "covered place" or "grave." In many places in the Bible. these same translators put "hell" in the text, and "grave" in the margin; or "grave" in the text and "hell" in the margin as equafly permissable or alternate renderings., Send for the pamphlet "The Truth About Hell" sent free to any address on application to: — H.
