Of Interest To Sportsmen Among the ducks shot in me Otaki district was one brought down by Mr. Walter Jepson, Forest Lakes, Otaki, which was releaseu from the Department of Internal Affairs' trap at Hamilton Bend, Manawatu River, on March 7, 1948. Although not a great distance from its releasing ground, this sho'uld be of interest to feliow sportsmen as it proves that these birds do not stay near the traps.
