DUNEDIN, May 12. That the time had arrived for- the setting up of a Royal Commission to enquire into the wjiole field if education in New Zeaiand, was decided this morning hy the New Zeaiand Educational institute when it con-. tinued its eonferenee. The motion was moved by Mr, J. Nesbitt (Rangitikei) and was divided into sub-headings covering curricula, standards of acflievement, provision of adequate "buildings, text hooks and general eqmpment, types of schooling, consolidation, pupil welfare, training and snppiy of teachers, teacher welfare, ader quacy of , "tfie education vote and administration.
