Paralysis Claims Woman As Victim

AUCKLAND, May 10. Five new eases of infantile paralysis were reported in the Central Auckland health distriet today. Most of them were patients who have been in- the Auckland Hospital for some days as suspects. . The first death from the disease in, the Thames-Tauranga distriet has also oecurred. The victim was a woman admitted to the Tauranga Hospital on May 2. A child from Ahimia, near Coromandel, who was taken to the Thames Hospital in the middle of last week as a suspeet, has been diagnosed as a positive ease. Another notification is that of a yqung woman aclmitted to the Tauranga Hospital as positive. A further case was leported front Dargaville today. This was a girl aged 18.
