Personal . Mr. John Hewitson, Otaki, left yesterday for Dunedin. He has been appointed Horo'whenua delegate for the teachers' conference in that town. It was with great sorrow that the committee had to record the death of Mr. H. Nicolson, an old member and vice-president of the Otaki sub-branch of the Plunket Society, said the president, Mrs. W. Morton, at the annual meeting last night. The J,ate Mr. Nicolson had always taken a keen interest in the work of the society and his valuable service and every-ready offers of help in many ways, will be greatly missed. ______________
