He went immediately to the Prince Regent, who accepted the resignation. * The;. resignation. arose because the S.oeialisf Pafty, of which he is leader, opposed the Government's policy 'in: the 75-year-old dispute between State-sponsored and free Uatholic schools. The two wings of the Belgian Government agreed in -principle on April 30 on a poliey to settle the dispute, which eoncerns the Government subsidy and concessions granted to Catholic schools.
