Valedictory Afternoon

A pleasant afternoon was given recently by Mrs. C. M. O'Sullivan at her liome in Manakau in honour of Mrs. F. H. Mayman, who is leaving shortly to reside in Porirua, Mr. Mayman having been appointed headmaster of the school there. The rooms looked gay with flowers and berries and bright fires, while a home-made aftefnoon tea was served. Items were rendered by Mesdames Jensen and O'Sullivan, while at a suitable interval a piece or chlna was presented to the guest of honour. Among those present were Mesdames G. Martin, M.* Miles, Bennett, Jensen, Cornelius, Walker, Neilsen, R. Robinson, Barkla and Staples, and Misses Rose, Houghton, Cotter and Gordon.
