Paralysis Shows No Sign Of Easing Up

AUCKLAND, May 1 A 12-year-old girl from Bayswater, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital 011 Saturday as a suspected case of infantile paralysis, was today diagnosed as positive. The only other additional case in hospital was a child who was readmitted for further treatment. There were 47 positive cases and three suspeets in hospital tonight. A further case from Dargaville was reported today. This was a girl aged sev'en years, a cousin of the « patient diagnosed as positive last week. A woman at Tauranga, who was admitted to hospital during the weekegd as a suspect was today re-elassilied as positive. A man aged 21 from Frankton and an fi-year-old lioy from Waharoa, were reported as positive cases in the Fouth Auckland health district today. They brought the number of cases in the district sinee the outbreak began to .9S.
