- The second day ' of the Forhury Park trots was held in overcast weather on a fast track. Highland Fling won the main event and came out later in the day and attacked the mile record of 2.3 3-5 established hy Indianapolis, and, despite a strong southerly, turned on a hrilliant performance to "beat the record, covering the mile in 2.1.
