Olympic Team Leaves For Britain
AUCKLAND, May 2. The good wishes of relatives and Auckland sportsinen sped the New Zealand Oiympic Games team on its way to London when the Port Line motor-ship* Port Hobart left Auckland on Saturday. Grouped on the deck, the team was roundly cheered frofh the wharf as the liner drew into the stream. New Zeaand's representatives, smartly dressed .miformly in blazers and grey flannels, were formally farewelled at a shipside function. The president of the Auckland Amateur Athletie Centre, Mr. A. Moon, wished them good luck and hoped they would prove that the All Blacks and Kiwis were not New Zealand 's only sporting products. Mr. Moon presented Auckland 's hui'dling representative, J. M. Holland, with a t.raveUing rug. The Port Hobart w'ill reach London about May 31. x
