Attempt On Life of Greek Minister
• Received Sundav, 7 p.m. ATHENS, ilav 1. An assailant whom the poiice described as a young Communist, attempted to assassinate the IMiaister of Justice, Air. Christos Ladas. He threw three liand grenades at the Minister 's car as he was leaving home for his oltice. Mr. Ladas was seriouslv injured and a policeman escorting him" Avas killed. The assailant was himself wounded by one of his grenades. He .."as taken to hospital where he was said to lia\'e nodded when the poiice asked: "Did you act 011 the orders of ,he Colnmunits Party ?" The Government has imposcd martial iaVv throughout the Athens and Piraeu.areas.
