WANDERERS SCORE EASILY OVER OTAKI-RAHUI

. Wanderers seniors proved too strOng for Otaki-Rahui, and after an inter.esting game won by 16 points to thfee. Wanderers set the ball in motion against the sun and after some give and take play, dudng which no quarter Was given, the game settled down at half -way. Then came bright play by 'Otaki-Rahui and from a free kick Taratoa kicked a neat goal, givirig the home team an early lead. Enoka followed this Up with a p'ood run. after which Wanderers forwards Went on attack. It was not long before Arda Hakaraia, who is now playing for the northerners, dodged through for a good try, The kick at goal was disallowed, leaving the score at three-all. A good deal of give-and-take play followed, but the visitors were

getting the ball from the scrummages, alowlng their backs to repeatedly open the game up. P. Hakaraia and Enoka were next conSpicuous, and the* Gordon intercepted a pass, but Arda Hakaraia saved. Wanderers made a rush and Sciascia set his backs in motion. Hakaraia, Heremaia and McGregor all handled the ball, the latter "scoring for Arda Hakaraia to a'dd the major points. Wanderers 8, Otaki-Rahui 3, The second half, howe,rer, was chiefiy in favour of Wanderers, mainly by good fOrward play, in which they excelled, and the smart handling of the backs. Otaki, with the sun in their fac.es, carried play to haif-way, but Wanderers soon forced thenr back and Bartholomew had an unsUccessful shot at goal, For some time play was up and down field, ' with the advantage to Wanderers.
