A well-knowa solicitor, Hhrold Joseph Fricfe, aged 44, was sentenced in the quarter feeSSions today to a total of twelve years' imprisonment on a nhmber o'f chafges co'ricerning the misappropriation of £34,255. "You simply gambled the money away," said Justice Marke'll. "In Uiy experience it is thq most serious case of its kind I "have dealt with." Brice pleaded guilty to 29 charges of inisappropriation. He was sentffiiced to seven years ' . imprisonment 011 28 Cli drge's and a further five years on the last charge which involved the sum 'of fi'oOOO. Evidence was given that accused lost the whole of the money in betting hnd business gainbles. "
