Bakers Want More For Delivery

WELLINGTON, April 30. An increase of one peuny per loaf iu the i-harge for delivery of bread to private homes was sought by the New Zealand Federation of JMaster Bakers and Pastrvcooks at a public sitting o' the Price Tribunal todav. JNIr. H. Al. Rogerson, who uppeared for the Federa tion, proposed that the increase slloulil be granted by way of -subsidv s.o as to avoid passing on the charge to in dividual consumers. The Tribunal reserved its decision. Mr. II. L. Wise, for the Price (.'on trol Division of the Departnient of ln dustries and Commerce, said tli* division luul found increased costs in the delivery of ln'ead and reeomniended that the charges should be increased by a farthing 011 the 11b loaf, a halfpenny 011 the 21b, loaf antf ld 011 the 41b loaf.
