The tree is called metasequoias and fossil remains are known to exipt in ('hina, A few nionths ago, however, experts from Harvard Fniversity found more than one flourishing metasequoia in Gentral Ghina, and they sent seeds to England. The metasequoia in ('hina grows 100 f'eet higli and seveu feet in diameter. It resembles the cedar, is related to Ihe conifer but sheds its leaves. A Society oiiieial in Lomlon said the seeds gerniinated well and will be bedded in the open in two or three months.
