British Reinforce Forces At Jaffa
Received Fridav, 10.50 a.m. JERUSALEM, April 29. A battalion of the Irish Fusiliers arrived at Jaffa, increasing the strength of British forces there to about 8000. Two British destroyers have arrived at Tel Aviv. Twenty Jews were killed and several score wounded on one J affju fi:out in the 24 hours1 precednfg ihe' cease fire, half of them are claimed to have been casualties from British guns. In Amman, Regent Abdul Ilah, said the Iraci army has started moving from Baghdad towards Palestine. The Egyptian minister of communications, Dessouki Abaza Pasha, in Cairo, confirmed reports that a large Egyptian army and airforce had been sent to the Egyptian borders facing Palestine.
