Lack Of Publicity For Miss New Zealand
liceeived Wcdnesdav, 7 p.m. . ' •/ LONDON, Ma.v 21. Miss Mary Wdottou, vvearing a blacn Ahd white stripcd crinolin, saw lior JLrst fiiiii premiere in London wlien sne weiit to the (.raumout Thealre, Jlayinarket, to see "Urokeu Journe.v. " She also saw a newsreol of herseif arriving in KngJand. Also at thc filin premiere were Mrs. Attlee and Mr. Ernost Beviu. Comparatively little news has boen published in the NationaJ Press aboiit Miss Wootton's arrisa] or the reasoas connected with it but the newsreol should introduce her to a wide pubiic. Whether her publicitv has been handled as well as it inight have been, is open to doubt. A11 instance was tne caption of a photograph of her puolished. in a London evening paper. Tiiough she was wearing a ' ' new lobk" dress, the newspaper's caption was '"sweater girl" whieh is a slightly different thing. .Judging by I their lack of cofnment, few gossip wnters have as -yet met her. • j .
