Fatal Coal Mine Accident

GREYMOUTH, April -21. Struck by a lunaway truck-on a jig at the Liverpool State eoal mine, Alex--ander Blyth, mine trucker, single, of Dunollie, had his leg sheared off. The amputation was completed at the Grev Hospital later in the afternon but Blyth died af 8.45 p.m. The injured man was attended at the mine after the accident by Dr. I. Leitch, Runanga, and .then transported to hospital by an ambulance, suffering greatly from loss of blood and shoek. He had been working at the mine only a few months and only -recently resumed work after liavirtg been off owiiig to another accident.
