R.A.F.'s Largest Transport Arrives On Sunday
WELLINGTON, April 22. The largest transport aircraft to go into service with the R.A.F., the Hanclley Page Hastings, will arrive gt Whenuapai from Australia on Sunday and fly the same day to Ohakea. On Monday shprt flights will be made with a number of Army and R.N.Z.A.F. officers, to whom the aircraft will be demonstrated. A goodwiH message from the Mayor of Hastings, England, to the Mayor of Hastings, Mr. R. D. Brown, will be delivered at Ohakea on Monday, when the Mayor and scme of his councillors will be takou on a flight. On Tuesday civil aviation officials will be taken on a flight to Wigram and return. The Prime Minist.r will probably inspect the Hastings cn Tuesday. It will leave > for Whenuapai on Thursday and depart for Australia on June 3. • Pickpockcts- have been stealing fountain pens from pedestrians waistcoat pockets.
