AUCKLAND, April 14. Never lias Auckland 's trades council eleetion been more clearly a tussle between two opposing tickets as tomorrow nigkt's ballot but in electing tlie exeeutive botlx groups face tke neeessity of giving suppdrt to opponents. An odd situation arises becanse both tickets contain only six eligible candidates for seven exeeutive seats while the coristitution provides for seven votes to be cast. The pro-Communist ticket contained seven names when nominations closed but one, Mr. J. Mack'ie, secretary of the Engineers ' Union, was not reelected delegate to the trades couneiJ and is not eligible for the council exeeutive. The reason why the anti-Com-munist ticket contains only six names is understoo.d to be that it was found at the last xninute that the , seventl , proposed nominee was not available„
