WELLINGTON, April 10. SHIRLEY Temple, Deanna Durbin and 'Paulette' Goddard head' the ' list of Hollywood's ten worst dressed women of 1948, compiled by Ray Driscoll, the well known fashion designer. In his list, Driscoll considers only those stars who spend small fortunes on their wardrobes. They should know how to dress, he says, but-they don't.
He':-picked— Paulette Goddard becanse "the New Look on her is a bad look." He condemns Shirley Templpt becanse she dresses "like.a refugee^irom the nursery." He considers that Deanna Durbin's clothes look "as if she had won them at a raffle." As for Dorothy Lamour, Mr. Driscoll considers that "her frocks look like slip-covers that lost their way." Of Ann Sothern he says that' "her New Look attire shrieks for attention. Others on the list are Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Hepburn, Maureen O'Hara and Hedy Lamarr.
