Train Timetables Altered
Alterations- in the railway ; timetables at present in operation were announced by the Minister of Rallways, Mr. Serhple, yesterday. They come into operation on Sunday, May 2. Alterations affecting the Horowhenua district are; — , ; . The present 7.12 a.m. palmerston North- Wellington Fields will leave Palmerston North at 7.20 am., arriving Wellington 10.53 am. The present 8.30 am. WellingtonPalmerston- North .Fields will leave Wellington 8.15 a.m., "arriving; Palmerston North 11.32 a.m. The Weliington-Gisborne express, which now leaves Wellington on Monday; Wednesday and Fri'day at 9.40 a.m., has been re-scheduled to leave at 9.12 am., Palmerston North dspart noon, Napier depart 4.50 p.m., and arrive Gisborne at 9.55 p.m. * The Gisborne-Wellington express, which now leaves Gisborne on Tuesday, Thursday aird Saturday at 8.55 a.m., has been re-scheduled to leave at 7.10 am., Napier depart 12?25 pm„ Palmerston North depart 4.40 p.m., and Wellington arrive at 7.15 p.m. This arrangement will give passengers from the Hawke's Bay area -a connection at Palmerston North with the 3.0 p m.
