AUCKLAND, April 5. A resident doctor on the staff of the Auckland Iiospital, who wg,,s formerly in charge of infantile paralys'us pa tients, contracted the disease himself. This was reported to the Auckland iiospital Board Avhen it was stated that, following a positive diagnosis, tlie doctor had received 6 physiotherapy treat ment and had now been discharged from hospital. The doctor was in charge of the in fantile paralysis wards for three months at the end of last year. Ear!\ in January he suffered a throat alfcc. tion and received outpatient treatmcm until February 21 when he was admit ted to tlie* ward for a pei'iod of nimdays. He developed pain and dis 'ability in the shoulder and on Marcti 15, when he was again examined afte a peri-od of physiotherapy treatment, a specialist considered there was m. doubt that he had suft'ered an attack of infantile paralysis.
