Fiji Recover in Match With Auckland
AUCKLAND, April 5. Making a sp'lendid recovery in . its second innings today, tlie Fijian ericket team scored 205 for the loss of two, wiekets in the mateh against Auckland. The visitors hatted much better than in the first innings, showing far more concentration and abilitv to use their feet against the spin bowlers. They scored their ruiis in 210 minutes and evidently appreciated the faster eonditions altliough the outfield was still on the slow side. In their iirst innings on Saturdav Fiji made 129 and Auckland replied with 110 for six wiekets. When the match was resumed today Auckland batting was verv laboured and after 41 runs had been added to the overnight total in 100 minutes for the loss of two more wiekets, II. T. Pearson, the Auckland captain, declared at the luncheon adjournment. A feature of Fiji's second innings was a iine second wicket partnership between II. J.
