No Jap Brides For J-Force
Although oAustralian troops in Japan are reported to be marrying Japanese girls according to Shinto rites, Army Headquarters, Wellington, said last week that they had no records of any New Zealand troops in J-Force contracting marriage with Japanese girls.' > It was pointed out that according to Army regulations no New Zealand soldier was permitted to marry a national of an enemy country and that if a soldier did marry illegally he would not be permitted to bring his wife back to New Zealand. -
