The establish ment of the bursary emanated in the mitids of the members of the Wellington District Pi'g Oouneil, with which the late Mr.. OroiH'her was intimately conhected for many years. The courieii appreciated that other organisations would like to be associated with the .project and invitatiohs to join were extended to the Mana-wntu-Oroua branch of the Pig Bret'defs' Association, the Young Farmers' Clubs, Boys' and Girls' Agricultirral Glubs, the Sanson Old Boys' Associationj and the Feilding and MaitttWatU A. and P. Associafions. The enthusiasm with which tliey signifled their willingness to help establish the bursary fund is a further testimony of the esteefn in which the late Mr. CrOuchef was held. The main conditions of the bursary . V 1 1 1 be a's follow: — 1. Ft. will be ealled the W. J". Croucher Memorial Bursary and will be of a maximum annual value of £50. • 2. The bursary shall be opoh tb eaiididates (a) who have had at least two years' post-primary education, (b) who irttend to take the eourse of studies

Avho have completed at least two years' pr^ctical work subsequent to Ihe period of postprimary education. - • The bursary sliall be awarded by the Board of Governor.s of - Massey. College on the recommendation of an electing committee consisting of a nominee of the Wellington District Pig Oouneil, a nominee of tlie ManawatUOroua branch of the X.Z. Pig Bi'C.eders ' Association and the principal of Atassey Agricultural College of his liominee. 4. The bursary shall be leflable for two years. The continuance of the butsarv into the second year shali be sitbject. to a I'avourable report from the Professorial Board. The following now malte up the committee: — Messrs. G. M. Whitelock, L. B.
