Wallace Beery Goes Back To Stage in New, Film
It is strange but true that Wailace Beery is to make his first appearance in his • 30' years on the screen in a musical, when "A Date for Judy" goes into production. Beery, who started his show career as a chorus member on the stage, will play the father of Jane Powell. Other member# of the cast are Elizabeth Taylcr, Mary Astor, Xavier Cugat and, for • her first time on the M.-G.-M. lot, CarmeW Miranda.
