Junior Chamber Plans Work For Year
The formation of .a blood bank in Levin is one of the projects the Levin Junior Chamber of ^Commerce is to launch this year? For
this purpose a blood bank group has beei\ formed with Mr% R. H. Long as'convener. This was revealed at a meeting of the chamber last night, when the conveners of the various groups gave brief outlines of the programmes they envisaged for the year. The groups, together with the conveners, are as follows: — Public speaking: Mr. R. Anteliffe; civic affairs: Messrs. W. G. Phillips and J. W. Lynch; blood bank: Mr. R. H. Long; publicity: Messrs. W. J. Barrat and T. A. Kerslake; membership: Mr. N. D. Tiiley; entertainment: Messrs. G. -Sorenson and C. B. Greenaway; ehairman of com- ; mittees: Mr. J. Miller. All groups had in hand some ! excellent projects for the forward[ing of the Junior Chamber ideals l.a,pd.the president, Mr... N. Thornl^y, | asked members to join as many of • the groups as possible.
