Golden Wedding Celebrated

i Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Wallace, of ; Stuckey Street, Levin, recently celebrated their golden wedding with a small gathering of relatives and old friends. The wedding, which was solemnised in St. Mary's. Anglican Church, Levin, by the Rev. R. J. Young, vicar of Foxton, to which parish Levin then belonged, was the •first ceremony of its kind in the j church. Mrs. Wallace, who was*the i retiring organist, was given a full choral serviee. by the choir. The late Mfs, B..R. Gardner sang a s-olo and Mr. -Stansell presided at the organ. After their marrlage Mr. and M1'1;. Wallace farmed at Ohau and Ohariu Valley prior to moving to Levin in 1906, where they have 'since resided.
