Weekend Hockey Matches

Hockey matches were played on the Otaki Domain at the weekend, when quite a number of interested spectators were present. In the men's game between Rahui and Te Horo play was open and fast, and an improvement was shown by all players. Rahui won by two goals to nil. The game was under the c-ontrol of Miss Olive King. The other game was between the Rahui aird Raukawa women's teams. The play was also interesting, and for the first half the Rahui players did well, but faded away in the second half and Raukawa evened the score to twoall. Raukawa continued to play good hockey to the end of the game, but the defence was somrd. Messrs. B. Baker and A. Webby were referees. Competitions were won by Miss M. Roiri • and Mr Watts.
