The United Nations' Atomic Qontrol Comijai'ttee, which had the task of drawing up a blue print for a World Atomic Control Board, today reached a complete dead end in the work. One member after apother said that there was no point in discussing the proposed international body in view of the Soviet's adamant stand on the basic issues,
General McNaughton (Canada) said that there. was ho purpose in pursuing the matter . further until the minority showed some sign of p,ccepting the majority view. Professor Dmitri Skobeltsyn (Soviet) said that »the blame for the committee's failure iay with the majority, which followed the United States' views. The committee adjourned without setting a date for another meeting.
