Inter-Club Football Match At Manakau
Probably one of- the first. interclub football matches to. be played in the district this season, was seen at Manakau on Saturday, when a team from the Athletic ■ Club, Wellington, met a team from the Hui Mai Club. The day was fine and fhe ground hard. The game was fa-st and lexciting. After some hard play, the Wellington team emerged victorious with the scOre .at 19—11. . During the .evening, the two teams were entertained- at a dinner given in their honour, and were lat.er invited to a dance. The' Hui Mai.. Club has now depjded to nominate a fourth grade team for the coming season's competition. ■
