Pcrsondil Mr. C. Smith, for some time on the staff of the Otaki. Post Office, is at present a patient ' . in :the Wellington Hospital. , ' / U Pension Payment War veterans' allowances and universal superannuation will be paid out at the local post office on March 31. Work at Memorial * The memorial in the rest resort grounds is at present being given attention, and more names are to be added. The whole monument will be polished -and otherwise improved. Post Office Holidays •. The Otaki Post Office will be closed in all its branches on Good Friday and Easter Monday except the telephone exchange, which will be open continuously. On Thursday final mails will close at 4.45 p.m. for Wellington and southern and 7 p.m. for Levin, Palmerston North and northern. The office will also be open between 7 and 8 p.m. ,On Easter Saturday final mails will close at 9.45 a.m. for Palmerston North, Levin and northern and 11 a.m. for Wellington and southern. i£o postmen's deliveries will be made, but telegrams may be handed in 'at the Tasman Street entrance from 9 to 11.30 "a.m. onthis day. '
